Managing Notifications in MemberDay

MemberDay provides flexible notification options to help users stay informed about important events and updates within their clubs. Notifications are available in two formats:

  1. In-App Notifications: Delivered directly to the MemberDay mobile app (iOS and Android).

  2. Email Notifications: Sent to the email address associated with your account.

Users can configure their notification preferences to choose which type of notification they receive for different events.

Notification Events

The following are the events that trigger notifications. Email and in-app are available for all.

Event Volunteer Signup
Notification confirming that a volunteer has successfully signed up for an event.

Event Volunteer Removed
Notification informing a volunteer that they have been removed from an event's volunteer list.

Event Volunteer 3 Day Reminder
Notification reminding a volunteer about their scheduled event, three days in advance.

Event Volunteer 1 Day Reminder
Notification reminding a volunteer about their scheduled event, one day in advance.

Dues Invoices*
Notification alerting a member about an available invoice for their membership dues.

Task Assigned*
Notification informing a user that a task has been assigned to them.

Task Reassigned
Notification informing a user that a task has been reassigned to someone else.

Task Status Change
Notification updating task participants about a change in the task's status.

Task Due 3 Day Reminder
Notification reminding a user that a task is due in three days.

Task Due Today Reminder
Notification reminding a user that a task is due today.


* These events are critical and one must stay enabled.


How to Configure Your Notification Settings

To manage your notification preferences, follow these steps:

On the Mobile App:

  1. Open the MemberDay app on your iOS or Android device.

  2. Navigate to the More menu (bottom right)

  3. Tap the gear icon next to your email and choose Notifications.

  4. You’ll see a list of events and the option to toggle notifications for Email and/or In-App for each event.

  5. Adjust the toggles according to your preferences.

  6. Changes are saved automatically.

On the Website:

  1. Log in to your MemberDay account on the web portal.

  2. Tap the Gear icon in the lower left.

  3. Click on Notifications.

  4. Use the checkboxes to enable or disable Email and In-App notifications for each event.

  5. Changes are saved automatically.


Tips for Managing Notifications

  • Stay Updated: Keep in-app notifications enabled for time-sensitive updates like reminders and task assignments.

  • Email for Documentation: Enable email notifications for events where you might need a record for reference, such as dues invoices.

  • Tailor Your Experience: Customize your settings based on how you prefer to receive information, whether it’s via email, in-app, or both.
