There are 2 ways to "Opt Out" of emails that are sent from the MemberDay Portal. The second option also always you to "Opt In" to emails.
Every email sent through the MemberDay Email area includes a link at the bottom that allows members to manage their email preferences. Follow these steps to manage your email preferences:
Open the general email that you received from your club.
Scroll to the bottom and click the link labeled "Manage Email Preferences."
You can choose to opt out of receiving future club emails.
Note: Transactional emails such as volunteer notifications, dues invoice emails, and event registration emails do not include the "Manage Email Preferences" option. These emails are necessary for operational purposes and cannot be opted out of.
Members can also manage their preferences directly from the MemberDay web interface:
Log in to your MemberDay account.
Navigate to the bottom left corner of the screen and look for the gear icon.
Choose the Email Settings option. Update your preference as needed.
As an administrator, you can view the email preference status of all members in your club.
Go to the Members+ screen in the admin dashboard.
Locate the email icon next to each member’s email address.
Observe the email icon:
"Green Email" Icon: The member is opted in and will receive club emails.
"Red Email Icon": The member has opted out of receiving club emails.
Ensure your club's communication strategy accommodates members who have opted out of emails. Use alternative methods such as phone calls or in-person updates to keep them informed about critical events and announcements.
By empowering members to manage their preferences and enabling administrators to monitor opt-outs, MemberDay helps maintain a respectful and efficient communication environment for your club.
