Connect Public Website Login Menu Item to the Portal Login Page

This article will show you how to link a button in the public website menu to the portal login page. This provides an easy way for members to remember how to get to the portal.

Updated 6 days ago

If you are using the MemberDay public website builder for your public website then the link from the login button on the website should already be set to direct the user to the login page of the MemberDay portal. However, sometimes the link is not there or has been deleted.

Note: Only website administrators can create the link and login to edit mode of the website builder.

Link your public website to the MemberDay portal

  • Login to the MemberDay Public Website Builder.

  • Click "Settings" on the left navigation menu, then locate the menu item that you want to link - likely the "Login" menu item.

  • Click the "gear" icon next to the menu name.

  • Select "Redirect to URL".

  • Copy this url into the text box:  https://app.memberday.com.

  • Select "Open in new tab".

  • Click "Save changes".

  • Now, test your login in link in the public website to make sure it works by exiting edit mode and testing the link or testing the button link in a different browser.

If you are NOT using the MemberDay public website builder, you can still provide a link on your website to go to the MemberDay portal login page so that members can easily login to the portal - follow the instructions provided with your specific web builder to set the link.
